This Is Why You Should Keep Your Relationship Off Social Media

It’s 2019 and it is extremely hard to stay off social media. Everything that’s happening is happening right there. Instagram is making people famous and also addicted. It seems like everyone’s life is now served up on a platter.

It’s like we’re all living in one big reality show. Your social media profiles could easily get out of control if you’re not being careful. Not everything belongs on the Internet. You can share with your friends how happy you are and how great it is that you finally got to go on a vacation. But what you should keep private are your relationships.

No one has to know what your boyfriend got you for your birthday or if you’re mad at him for some reason. If you reveal all that information, you could break up with your boyfriend sooner than you think. Here are the reasons for that:

1. Someone can sabotage your relationship.

You wouldn’t believe how many people are just waiting to get involved in someone else’s life. They’re just sitting in their homes, scrolling through social media and looking for a new project to work on. Their projects consist of ruining other people’s lives. You might know some of those people without knowing that that’s their hobby. They are full of hate and resentment towards others and they don’t even care about them.

They think that if they can’t be happy, no one else should. Of course, with that type of mindset, they will never be happy because they’re not even trying. They can’t wait to see someone being happy and finding a way to destroy it.

Their resentment is stronger than any other feeling they have. Seeing someone happy causes anger in their souls and they can’t wait to start gossiping around how the only reason your boyfriend buys you flowers is because he’s cheating on you.

Their imagination and their resentment are the only two things that have no limits. Be careful.

2. You’re building up a picture of the perfect couple.

When you scroll through all the pictures you’ve posted with your boyfriend, you see only happy faces.

At that moment, you feel like you are that perfect couple—everyone’s real relationship goal. You forget that your relationship isn’t that perfect. Actually, no relationship is. You’ve had your ups and downs and if you only keep seeing ups, you might end up living in an illusion.

You will see your relationship the way everyone else sees it and it will look like everything you have with your boyfriend is simply perfection.

This could be really bad if you break up with him. Scrolling through your social media profiles after your break up could make you forget about the reason you broke up with him. You’d think that everything was indeed perfect and you’d want to get back together with him.

It’s better for you to keep the album of every moment you want and need to remember on your phone. It doesn’t matter if it’s good or bad.

You need to be aware of everything that’s going on between you two. It is important to have a reminder of your bad moments, so you can see what you survived together.

That can only make your relationship stronger. When you know how much you two have been there for each other, through thick and thin, your love can only grow until it’s reached the sky—because only the sky’s the limit for true love.

3. You’re giving people access to the most private part of your life.

If you’re not careful, your relationship could become famous. You and your boyfriend could be that couple the whole town’s talking about. Everybody could know who you are, even those people you’ve never even met. Your life would become a reality show without you even knowing it. People love to gossip and to follow someone else’s lives. Don’t give them a chance to gossip about you and your boyfriend. The fewer people know about your relationship, the happier you’ll be. It’s a golden rule of dating.

It is your profile on social media and you are allowed to post anything you like on it, but you need to be aware that everything you post can be used against you. It’s always better to be active in real life than on social media.

Instead of putting effort into choosing a filter for your new photo, it’s better to invest your effort into planning a trip with your boyfriend. Connection with him in real life is way better than any Internet connection.
